Schnuckentempel
Kunstverein Springhornhof, Neuenkirchen, Germany

A little comment on the sheep-loving federal state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), where the museum hosting this exhibition is located. Lower Saxony is famous for Heidschnucken (a local breed of moorland sheep) and Heidekartoffeln (heath-grown potatoes).
I transformed an old farmhouse into a classical temple, with columns topped by capitals made from the wool of Heidschnucken sheep. The temple featured a fresco reminiscent of the Pergamon Altar—but created using potato prints.
The “Schnuckentempel” is connected to the installation Antikensammlung, which you can also find here on this website. Antikensammlung is a collection of rather bad paintings of classical artworks.
I love being a northern soul ;) and I spent seven years of my life studying for a master of classical philology. So yes... oops.
