Antikensammlung
Kunstverein Springhornhof, Neuenkirchen, Germany

Antikensammlung is a collection of rather bad paintings of classical artworks. It’s connected to the installation Schnuckentempel, which you can also find on this homepage. Both installations playfully imitate classical art and, in doing so, offer a cheeky greeting to the rather conservative—but charming—federal state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), where the museum hosting this exhibition is located.
I love being a northern soul ;) and I spent seven years of my life studying for a master of classical philology. So yes... oops.
