Complete Basic Decor (collaboration with Jan Brokof)
Schau Fenster, Berlin
In their joint exhibition COMPLETE BASIC DECOR, artists Jan Brokof and Verena Issel create a large-scale spatial installation that places dialogue and artistic convergence at its center.
The installation is based on a selection of works by both artists, chosen collaboratively to highlight the points where their practices intersect and resonate with one another. These selected pieces enter into a visual conversation with a site-specific wall installation composed of construction paper and woodcut prints. Through a process of creative exchange — a kind of artistic ping-pong — between the individual works and the expansive installation, a new, cohesive whole emerges that blurs the lines between artwork and spatial environment.
The exhibition offers a rich interplay of materials, techniques, and perspectives, inviting visitors to explore both the connections and the contrasts within the artistic dialogue.
