Soft Ruins
Volksbühne Berlin/ Bundeskunsthalle Berlin/ Haus am Lützowplatz Berlin

The installation SOFT RUINS exists in different versions. It follows the same concept as ASET IN TADMOR (see Marijke Lukowicz's beautiful text on this installation above), but the installation is modified to different contexts:
The installation served as the backdrop for a concert at Volksbühne Berlin by a band called Schluss, which performed on the occasion of one of the theatre’s artistic directors being forced to step down.
The installation also served as a stage for a conversation on patriarchal linguistic heritage featuring Kolja Reichert, Petra Gerstenberger, and Mohamed Amjahid.
"Soft Ruins" questions Western concepts and assumptions.
