Trolldeig
The installation TROLLDEIG plays with the dual meaning of two words: In Norwegian, trolls are mythical creatures. In English, “to troll” refers to the act of deliberately provoking or disrupting others in digital spaces—often anonymously, mockingly, and with intent to cause irritation. In Norwegian, however, “deig” simply means dough.
At the sculpture of an abstract bus stop, the artist applied graffiti made from salt dough—a fragile, homemade material more often associated with domesticity and childhood than with public intervention. Here, digital aggression meets soft substance, transforming into a quiet, ironic form of resistance.
